Our Mission
At Future Roots, we provide a safe, high-quality boarding school for Uganda’s most vulnerable children – a home where they live well, eat well, and learn well.
Through education, care, and mentorship, we help them grow in character, discover their purpose, and become leaders of positive change.
What We Offer
Quality education, healthy and nutritious meals, and neat, clean dormitories – giving every child the foundation to thrive.
Classrooms
Six classes with strong pastoral care ranging from 12 to 20 pupils maximum per class.
Our Food
Three daily meals with a varied weekly menu that provides all essential nutrients.
Dormitories
Two houses with 15 rooms and 100 beds, all bedding is provided.
Meet Our Team
Our school community is led by 17 dedicated staff members who are professional, caring, and passionate about children.
At the heart of the team are our directors, Simon Okumu from Uganda and Martina Okumu from Egypt, whose vision and commitment inspire everything we do.
Alongside them, our teachers, cooks, nurse, wardens, and support staff work together to create a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment where every child can flourish.
